What is this about?

Whether you’re seeking refuge from the stresses of modern life, embarking on a journey of self-exploration, or simply craving a sanctuary to reconnect with yourself and nature, the “Shanti” program provides a sacred space for reflection, renewal, and rejuvenation.

Central to the “Shanti” program is our belief in the transformative power of yoga—a holistic discipline that integrates physical postures, pranayama, introspection, and philosophical teachings from the Yoga Sutras to foster holistic well-being and self-awareness.

How is this different from other Yoga retreats?

Participants in the “Shanti” program embark on a transformative five-day journey of self-discovery and personal growth, guided by carefully curated principles:

  1. Selective Participants: Unlike our other workshops, the “Shanti” Retreat operates on an application basis. This ensures that participants are deeply aligned with the intentions and objectives of our retreat program. Our selection process considers factors such as readiness for the program, capacity for transformative engagement, individual backgrounds, and aspirations for applying the teachings received.

  2. Personalized Attention: To prioritize individual growth and learning, we limit our program to one participant at a time during the initial phase. This approach allows for dedicated and personalized attention, ensuring a profoundly enriching experience for each participant.

  3. Opportunity for Self-Introspection: Exclusively designed for solo participants, the “Shanti” program provides a sanctuary for personal reflection and introspection. By offering uninterrupted “me time,” participants are encouraged to delve deep into their inner landscapes, fostering profound insights and self-awareness.

  4. Integration of Yoga Philosophy: At the heart of the “Shanti” program lies the exploration of yoga philosophy—a timeless tradition offering profound insights into the nature of existence and pathways to liberation. Through interactive lectures and discussions, participants delve into profound teachings on the nature of suffering and the transformative power of yoga in alleviating it.

  5. Flexibility for Remote Work: Recognizing the importance of maintaining external commitments, our program structure allows participants roughly eight hours of personal time each day. This flexibility enables participants to seamlessly continue any remote work commitments while fully engaging in the retreat experience. Additionally, for those willing and available, we offer the option to intensify practices or lectures based on individual goals and preferences.

In essence, the “Shanti” program at Utopia Farmstay transcends the conventional retreat experience—it represents a soulful journey towards wholeness, authenticity, and inner peace. By providing a safe and nurturing environment for exploration and growth, we embark together on a transformative journey towards greater harmony, balance, and “Shanti” (peace).

About me

Saunskruti Kher

Saunskruti Kher

About a decade ago, I found myself navigating the turbulent waters of anxiety-induced depression, seeking solace in traditional "therapy". Yet, even as the storm subsided, I knew there was much healing left to be done. Determined to fortify myself against the resurgence of such occurances, I embarked on a quest for holistic wellness that led me to the ancient practice of Yoga. Set against the serene backdrop of Lonavala, I immersed myself in the profound teachings of a century-old Yoga school. What began as a mere physical pursuit soon blossomed into a profound journey of self-discovery and transformation. Each asana, each breath, became a gateway to deeper understanding of myself and inner peace. Since those formative days, I have dedicated myself to the path of Yoga with unwavering devotion. I have completed rigorous training programs with esteemed institutions such as the Yoga Institute, Kaivalyadhama, and Svyasa, each milestone enriching my understanding and reverence for this ancient art. Yoga has become my sanctuary, a sacred refuge where I find solace, strength, and a profound sense of connection to the world around me. Yet, amidst sharing the wisdom I have gleaned with others, I remain acutely aware that my own journey with Yoga has only just begun. In extending the light of knowledge to fellow seekers, I continue to deepen my own understanding and appreciation of the boundless magic that Yoga offers.
