About Uttara and Adwait, Nashik

Thirty years ago, we (Adwait and Uttara) met working at the Taj. Along with our day jobs in the hospitality industry, we both also modeled in the 80s and were a part of several prestigious advertising campaigns. We wanted to move away from the hustle bustle of the big city and shifted to a quieter, Nashik.

We’ve had three restaurants in Nashik (Aangan, Tandoor and The Bombay Talkies) and now live on the outskirts of the Nashik. Our two daughters, Saiyami and Saunskruti have now moved back to the very city that we chose to leave.

Plagued with the empty-nest syndrome, we decided to welcome people into our home a few years ago. We loved interacting with the people who visited us and thoroughly enjoyed listening to their stories. Through these experiences, we realized, that travelers who choose to stay in home stays (or in this case our farm stay) are often a treasure chest of interesting anecdotes.

That is what gave birth to Utopia Farmstay. For the past two years, we’ve throughly enjoyed hosting guests at Utopia. Our greatest joy is when guests come as strangers but leave as friends!

We love to swim in the lakes (Nashik has over forty freshwater lakes), trek around the Sahyadri hills in Nashik, and explore off-beaten tracks on our 35-year old bullet! Every monsoon, we love taking our guests on short walks or hikes around Nashik!

We also host different workshops through the year at the property. I (Adwait), conduct a Carpentry Workshop.

If you’re looking for a stay away from your concrete jungle, are tired of monotonous hotel accommodations and have a penchant for exploring something different, we’d love to have you over on our farm.
