About The Facilitator

A photographer and traveller, I now work with clay. I have found that it is a medium that demands presence,
patience, honesty, and touch.
Working with my hands connects me to the raw, living earth; every touch becomes an act of
listening, every form a quiet reflection. The rhythm of the wheel and the weight of the clay create
a meditative dialogue between movement and pause, thought and silence. Pottery teaches
patience… it cannot be rushed, only understood through time and touch. And in the final
encounter with fire, the work is transformed; from fragile earth becomes enduring form, a testament
to change and resilience. Each piece I create carries traces of that mindfulness, transforming
light, memory, and experience into tangible form. In clay, I find not just expression, but balance —
a return to simplicity, rhythm, and the beauty of making by hand.
Through clay, I rediscover what it means to create with both heart and hand – grounded,
imperfect yet beautiful , and deeply human.
FAQs
This workshop offers a calming and immersive experience that invites you to slow down and connect—both with your hands, legs and your senses. This workshop is less about perfection and more about presence, offering a grounding, memorable moment away from the everyday.
Absolutely! This workshop is perfect for beginners. You’ll get hands-on guidance to learn the basics of centering and shaping clay on the wheel in a relaxed, playful environment.
For a one-day session,it is meant to be fun and immersive, letting you experiment, and get the feel of the wheel without pressure. It’s all about enjoying the process, rather than producing a product. Also the clay is too soft and wet to carry safely. For the intensive retreat, you have the option of having 2-3 pieces fired, glazed and shipped at an additional cost.
Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on. Preferably no whites and lights.
Yes, the minimum age is 10-12 years. The session is designed for adults & teenagers because the workshop needs your involvement physically.
