Sthairya

Slow down
ground and return to stillness

with Namita Lad
5th – 7th July 2025

"The best cure for the body is a quiet mind".— Napoleon

You’ve been glued to a desk. Your back aches, your mind won’t slow down, and your body’s asking for something different. Sthairya is a weekend yoga retreat for people who’ve spent too long on screens and too little time with themselves. This isn’t about doing more. It’s about slowing down, softening, and coming back to stillness.

About The Facilitator

Facilitator standing peacefully at Utopia Farmstay, surrounded by nature and warm sunlight.

Namita (https://www.instagram.com/yogwithnamita/) brings a unique blend of corporate insight and dedicated yoga expertise to her teaching, deeply understanding the physical and mental challenges faced by professionals tied to desk jobs. With 15 years in the IT sector, she intimately knows how prolonged sitting, stress, and work pressures contribute to chronic issues like back pain, migraines, and thyroid imbalances.

Transitioning from corporate life to full-time yoga instructor, Namita leverages her qualifications—200-hour YTT in Hatha and Ashtanga, 85 hours in Pregnancy Yoga, and Level 1 Reiki certification—alongside nearly three years of focused teaching experience. She specializes in addressing the common health problems of corporate workers through tailored yoga practices that promote healing and resilience for both body and mind.

Namita’s approach is grounded in practical understanding and compassionate guidance. She has successfully led workshops for various companies and designed sessions that cater to diverse groups, including Indian and international students. Her commitment extends beyond traditional classes, demonstrated through unique initiatives like yoga sessions for social causes, including puppy adoption events with PawGa.

Her teaching not only aims to alleviate the physical toll of a sedentary lifestyle but also empowers professionals to manage stress effectively, fostering overall well-being and a balanced life. Namita’s journey from corporate professional to passionate yoga teacher equips her with the empathy and expertise to help her students thrive amid today’s demanding work environments.

What to expect

Sthairya is for anyone who’s been living from the neck up – minds racing, bodies aching, and souls on standby. If you’ve been multitasking through your days, losing touch with your breath, or simply longing to slow down, this retreat is your pause.

Accessible, gentle practices to release what your body’s been holding — especially if you sit all day or carry stress in your back, hips, or shoulders.

Simple breath techniques to shift from scattered to centered  helping you sleep better, focus easier, and feel calmer overall.

No performance, no pressure. Just movement that brings you back into your body and out of your head.

You don’t need to write beautifully — just honestly. These sessions help you make sense of what’s stirring beneath the surface.

Hearty meals, quiet farm surroundings, and time away from screens to help your system find its ground again.
